Yes, you heard that right, feeling like sh** is indeed good for the soul.
We’ve all had those really crappy days, you know the ones. Those days when nothing goes right, all of your buttons have been pushed, you’re pissed, or maybe fear and doubt are right there walking in lockstep with your every move.
Those are the days when it feels like the sh** show has come to town. When you’re looking at everyone around you like, is it me or are all of YOU the crazy ones?!
But, what if these days came around to remind us that we are NOT crazy at all, rather to remind us just how truly resilient and amazing we really are?
I felt inspired to share this with you today because I’ve heard far too many people trying to convince others that they’re okay when they’re obviously not.
For some reason, a lot of people that identify as spiritual or healers seem to think that they must always be happy and loving at all times. That’s boggles my mind.
Listen, feelings of peace and love are great but if you aren’t feeling it, then you’re just not feeling it!
In my opinion (I’m somewhat of a sh** show expert), allowing yourself to get honest with how you are feeling, even when you’re feeling at your worst, allows you the chance to really take notice of what’s going on in your life so that you can make adjustments as necessary.
We all have good days, bad days, and everything in between. That is the beauty of this human experience of ours. Our lives are shaped by the broad spectrum of circumstances that we experience daily.
To deny how you’re feeling just because it doesn’t feel good or look good is to deny yourself the opportunity to witness your personal power and perseverance. Growth doesn’t always feel good in the moment but when you come out of it, you feel like a rock star.
So, here’s what I suggest, when your day feels like crap and you just don’t have the energy to deal, sit your pretty round behind right there in your sh** and take a deep inhale. I know it sounds crass, but it’s your sh**.
Own your crappy day. I promise you that working through the crap is much easier than trying to pretend that it’s not there.
Life gives us all the tools we need to handle even the toughest of situations. With a little silence, reevaluation, or just easing up on yourself, you will probably find that what once felt uncomfortable will shift you into inspired action and feelings of empowerment.
You have to take the journey through the sh** in order to get to the other side. Pretending as if things are fine when they’re not will only leave you feeling stuck and uncomfortable. Remember, what you resist will persist.
So embrace every aspect of your life. When the sh** show comes to town, simply become the emcee! The faster you acknowledge the show, the faster you can move on with strength, courage and new awareness.
Have you ever found yourself needing a miracle quick, fast, and in a hurry? You’re in the 11th hour and you’re holding out hope that God will answer your prayers.
I have been there, sitting on pins and needles waiting for a Hail Mary pass from God because I had nowhere else to turn. It’s not a good feeling when you’re looking for that 11th hour miracle and you’re not sure if your prayers are going to be answered.
I wish I could tell you something comforting that would allay your fears and guarantee you that everything is going to work out just as you expect. But I can’t. So I’ll just share with you what I’ve experienced while waiting on my own 11th hour miracles.
Desperately waiting for a miracle to happen is one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever experienced. This is usually the time when I start to spiral into self-judgement, doubting God’s love for me, and just an overall meltdown. It starts with the self-judgement because I get pissed that I’ve even allowed myself to get to this point. Then I try to convince myself that God’s not dealing with me because I’m too much of a hot mess to even help. I know better, but when you’re feeling desperate, you’ll convince yourself of many things. Basically, the entire situation turns into one big clusterf@#k.
So what happens to me after the deadline has passed and my miracle’s a no show? Life goes on. But now I’m out of my thick haze of anger, sadness, and desperation, I’m able to think more clearly. Here is where I am able to connect more clearly with Source to see what insight I may have missed during my meltdown. I’m also in a space that allows me to be grateful for the fact that I’m still standing. While I may have felt like my world was imploding the day before, I see that things are still in order and I have another opportunity to do things differently; ideally with better planning on my part the next time around.
Remember, God never leaves your side. If you are unable or unwilling to witness the Divine presence in your life, then it’s probably time to dial back your ego and dismiss your fears. The wisdom and guidance of Source is being given to you all of the time in many ways. If you are too caught up in your woes, you might just miss the miracle you’ve been waiting on.
One thing we’re promised is that if we have asked then we shall receive. Be sure to ask with clarity and purpose. If you don’t believe that you are worthy to receive that which you have asked, then guess what, you might get bupkis! Go within your heart during this period of waiting. Here is where you will find peace in your moment of worry. Here is where you can affirm that what you are asking for is in the highest good for you. If you’re in the 11th hour and nothing else has worked, what on earth could you have to lose? What you tried up until this point got you nowhere but here.
So if time has passed and things don't go according to your plan, what’s next? Pardon the cliché but this too shall pass. Maybe this is where you were meant to be all along. There is always a lesson to be had in every situation. Use this opportunity to strengthen your connection with God. This is also an opportunity to see what you could have done differently in your life. Question why things didn’t work out. Maybe what you wanted wasn’t in your best interest. When you’ve prayed for assistance and things didn’t go your way, you’ve just got to trust that there is something better happening for you behind the scenes. Prayers never go unanswered and your best interest is always top priority. You may think you want or need things to go one way, but remember, you can’t see the entire picture. If you’ve prayed about it, then let it go and trust. As far as I can see, not much else to do after that.
So here are my final thoughts on 11th hour miracles, they’re great when they work out in your favor!! They’re great when they don’t. Just because you didn’t receive what you thought you needed, something better is usually waiting just around the bend.
What do you do when you are trying to manifest something you really want or need and you feel like you’re doing everything right but things just aren’t working in your favor?
You’re doing the meditations, you’ve said the prayers, and declared with certainty all of the things you are trying to create for yourself but yet you still feel as if you’re stuck at square one.
Here is where you do the only thing you can do and that’s get out of your own way.
Getting out of the way simply means to let go of the process. Without realizing it, you have been trying to control the outcome of the situation when you only have a limited amount of resources to work with. When you remove yourself from the inner workings of the process, you then allow the Universe all of the freedom it requires to provide for you in divinely perfect ways.
When you interfere with the divine process of creation, you inadvertently add a lot of effort to the situation. If you are using too much effort to manifest the things you desire, the process become distorted and denotes a lack of faith and an element of fear on your part.
To be successful in the process of creating your wishes and desires, it’s important to understand that you are a co-creator, working together with forces much greater than you. Understand that there is always a bigger picture and the potential for unlimited outcomes. Put your trust in the Creator for your best interest is always at hand. Release any need to force or manipulate the outcome, you have God on your side.
So, how do you get out of your own way when you are desperate to create what you desire?
The first thing you want to do is hold space for the vision. By energetically holding space for your vision to manifest with ease and grace, you are saying to the universe, yes, I am clear on what I want and I am prepared to receive it. You cannot make room for something new in your life if you haven’t prepared for it. Holding space is your way of saying that you are in fact ready to receive.
The next thing you will want to do is affirm that you are deserving of all things. If you do not feel deserving of what you say you want, the Universe listens and produces only that which you truly desire. One of the biggest influencers you have for creating what you want is your emotions. If you claim you want to manifest something but your emotions tell a different story, your emotions become the deciding factor in what you experience in your life. So when it come to manifesting, begin to feel NOW what you expect to feel after you receive your manifestation. If you want to manifest love in your life and you believe that new love will bring happiness, joy, and a sense of purpose. Then begin to feel all of those emotions now as you wait for your love to arrive. This affirms to the Universe that you are prepared and ready to receive just what you have asked for.
It is important to understand that everything you are looking for in your life you already hold within you. When you take an honest look at what you want for yourself, you’ll find that it’s not so much about the things you wish to acquire but more the emotions that they bring. So knowing that you have a wellspring of these divine emotions already within you sets you on the path to manifesting with ease.
Begin to express your desired emotions while you are in the process of creation. Continually express gratitude for all that you learn, witness and experience along the way. Your life was never intended to be one of struggle, simply a process of exploration for you to understand the powers you possess within.
As you go forth in your creations, always remember that you have exactly what you wish to create. It’s never really about the material things we think we want, it’s really about connecting with the emotions that you hope these “things” will provide. You already have control over the emotions you choose to experience. Never place your power outside of yourself.
Once you’ve accepted how much power you have in the process, you’ll find that everything else simply falls into place. Begin to feel now exactly how you expect to feel once your dreams have materialized in your life. You are either in the way or in the flow. I suggest you get in the flow!

Now that December is upon us, the air is filled with holiday cheer. The streets are lined with holiday lights, the stores are all beautifully decorated, and many of us are preparing for festive events in the upcoming weeks. But what do you do when holiday overload turns into overwhelm? Keep your spirits high and your energy balanced with these 4 tips to get you through the holidays with cheer.
While the act of gratitude is certainly one to be practiced year round, during the holiday season it is especially important to connect with the powerful vibration of gratitude. For many of us, December is a busy time of year filled with many obligations. Between the holiday parties, shopping and completing projects before the year’s end, be sure to take time each day to remind yourself of all that you have to be grateful for.
Expressing gratitude allows us to refresh and rebalance our energy through connecting us with Source. Let gratitude be your hotline to Source this holiday season through giving thanks for all that the Creator has created just for YOU.
2. BE AWARE OF YOUR ENERGY
Pay close attention to how you are feeling this month. With all of the hustle and bustle during this busy time of year, it is easy to get caught up in the rush and put yourself last. For peak energetic health, remember to check in with yourself often to assess how you’re feeling. If you find yourself easily annoyed or aggravated, stop and take the time see what in your space is causing this irritation for you. If you’re experiencing sadness or any other emotions that bring pain, learn to investigate the source of the matter.
I often share with my clients to talk to the pain. Whether you are experiencing physical or emotional pain, ask your pain what it needs for healing. Take some quiet time for yourself, go within, and begin to connect with the energies in your space that do not feel loving and supportive. Listen for the guidance that you receive to help youfind the balance and peace that you are looking for. It is not unusual to feel disconnected during the holiday season, the important thing is to recognize when you’re feeling this way and simply set the intention to be fully present in your space.
3.SHUT IT DOWN
Now more than ever is a good time of year to find time for you to simply shut-it-down. Just as your physical body needs to rest and recharge, so too does your energetic body. When things feel overwhelming or you are feeling pulled in many directions, find some alone time for you to shut down and disconnect from the chaos. In this space of powering down, you allow yourself the opportunity to refresh and recharge your energy.
So what do you do during your time out? A great place to start is meditation. Meditation allows your mind the opportunity to quiet down while connecting you with your heart. This is one of the most powerful things that you can do for you energetic health. For those of you not familiar with meditation, there are many free resources available for guided meditations on the internet and iTunes. Another option for powering down is connecting with nature. Find some time to take a walk outside (weather permitting), read a book while sitting near your houseplants, take the dog out to play, observe the sunrise, sunset, or watch the stars at night. There are many ways to connect with nature, go with what you feel drawn to. Lastly, have a party of one. Sing and dance to your favorite songs while you are alone. Not only is this outrageously fun but it also allows you to forget your worries and be fully present in the moment. Remember to love and enjoy yourself.
4. CONNECT WITH GOD
God, Source, the Creator, or whatever feels right for you, is the source of all being. Be mindful to connect with Source for unlimited access to unconditional love. Connecting with Source through prayer, meditation, or simply asking to be connected for the purpose of receiving unconditional Divine love is such an amazing source of healing that you will find yourself doing this often. When you find yourself stressed, worried, or simply outside of love, connect with God and asked to be filled with unconditional Divine love and feel the powerful shift work in an instant. This is a practice that I do often throughout my day. This can be done in the morning upon waking, while you’re driving, at work, or anytime you recognize that you aren’t quite feeling aligned. This is even a practice that you can walk your children through and make it a fun visualization exercise.
The steps I use for doing this exercise involve connecting with God, asking to receive this loving energy, and imagine it flowing entirely throughout my physical and energetic space. Completely fill up your space with this energy and repeat as often as you feel necessary. This energy is here to support us and is available to all us all of the time.
As you approach this holiday season, do it with confidence. Always remember that you have access to all that you need to maintain a healthy balance within your energetic field.
